Isikhulu

Isikhulu. [n] – khulu. Meaning senior. Also used in the context of big, ruler or chief and especially so when acknowledging seniority or showing respect. A son may call an elder khulu and a junior chief may call a senior khulu. Reaching the status of a khulu is much sought after.

The Zulu People
