Please book in advance for wine tasting or lunch as we offer weddings and private functions on the estate and are not always open to the public.  If we are not closed for a wedding or private function our venue will be open to the guests from 10:00 – 16:15 for wine tasting and cheese platters.  Closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year.  Contact us at bookings@cathpeakwines.com in advance to check availability.

We are proud to offer this great venue for your special function. Winterton is pretty little town with amazing trees. The venue area itself is stunning with great mountain views and the game farm area to look over. As a guest you are welcome to take a walk on the wild side when you visit so come early to enjoy the tranquil bushveld kopjes and the views of the dam.

Your arrival at the great door (recycled from the old cow shed roof) announces the venue very emphatically. From here you sit inside the cellar and you can feel and see that this is wine country. The facility can seat some 120 banquet style and 20 people schoolroom.  For cocktail functions over 350 for can be accommodated as there is excess place externally to flow.  For big events we bring in a banquet truck that augments our own. The hall is a working cellar and tasting venue so it doesn’t get made up much other than to a bit of draping. This is all that is required to light up the art corner and the wall features. This allows high end functions to be done at competitive rates and with a stunning vibe.
